Grey’s Anatomy fans might be wondering which team Dr. Erica Hahn bats for, but in real life, actress Brooke Smith is into girls—adopting one, that is.

Smith, 40, and her cinematographer husband, Steve Lubensky, have adopted a baby girl from Ethiopia. She is the couple’s second daughter; big sister Fanny is 5 years old.

The Silence of the Lambs star and her husband had traveled to Africa on several occasions, including filming a documentary in Zimbabwe. Back in October, Smith told People magazine that they were considering adoption.

The couple has been married since 1999.
