Top brass at the William Morris Agency convene at The Blvd, a three-year-old bistro inside the Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons hotel in the heart of Beverly Hills. Though the restaurant is open 20 hours a day, the power brokering happens at breakfast or lunch in an old-world-style dining room that features zebra wood, a chandelier and a lunch menu that's heavy on luxe salads and upscale bar food (tempura halibut as "fish and chips") so agents, stars and executives can get in and get out in a hurry.

Oscar winner Forest Whitaker and his wife, Keisha, a Lynn native, were in Boston last night at a posh party at Mantra for Boston Common magazine. (The Whitakers are on the cover of the new issue.) Keisha told us that their guest list included a host of family and friends, including "Grey's Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo, whom they've known for years. Also expected were chef Todd English, developer Don Chiofaro, style maven Gretchen Monahan, Bobby and Peter Farrelly, auto magnate Herb Chambers, and Red Sox GM Theo Epstein.

You can chalk up Ellen Pompeo's post-nuptial glow (she wed longtime boyfriend Chris Ivery in November, in case you're behind on your People reading) to a calculated fashion move. "I married him because I never have to dress him," she confided from her front-row seat at Friday's Rag & Bone show. "He's got the most fantastic sense of style. He can shop for me. I mean, that's one of the things I fell in love with." No style slouch herself, Pompeo gushed about another man, too: Nina Ricci's Olivier Theyskens. "He's just amazing. The line is just so beautiful, always." Turns out the silver Nina Ricci number Pompeo donned for the SAGs was no usual lender; after its trip down the red carpet, the dress will be displayed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. "I don't know if they were so excited about lending it out, but I was really, really excited that they decided to let me borrow it."
